About

Built by one person. On purpose.

The short version

Hi — I'm Ronnie. I run Parable Ventures, a small studio in Idaho Falls. I design and build the work myself.

I'm Ronnie Grace — a builder and operator based in Idaho Falls. For most of my career I've been the person who picks up the harder problem: software that has to actually work, in environments where there isn't a big team to fall back on. Parable Ventures is the quiet, deliberate version of that work, on offer to small businesses across Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, and beyond.

I build websites, custom web apps, and AI tools — usually for owners and operators who need something specific, useful, and well-made. The kind of project where you talk to one person, get a real answer, and end up with something you can point to with confidence.

The studio is named Parable Ventures because I believe the best software, like the best stories, says more by showing than by telling. A good site or tool doesn't have to announce that it's serious; it should simply behave that way under load. Every project I take on is meant to be useful, durable, and quietly excellent.

Underneath all of this is something I've been working out in a separate book project called A Borrowed Why — the idea that lasting work comes from a personally excavated purpose, not borrowed motivation. It shows up here mostly in what I refuse to do: shortcuts, theater, and shipping work I wouldn't be proud of in five years.

What I value

A short list, taken seriously.

Craft over speed

Most things are worth doing well, even when nobody is watching. Speed matters where it earns trust — but never at the cost of work that should last.

Honesty over upsell

If you don't need what you're asking for, I'll tell you. The right answer is sometimes a smaller project, a different tool, or no project at all.

Built to last

Every project I take on should still be working five years from now — quietly, dependably, without becoming someone else's problem to maintain.

Where I am

Idaho Falls, Idaho.

I work with clients across Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah, and remote clients anywhere. Most of the work happens async, with calls when they earn their keep. If you're nearby and want to grab coffee while we scope something, I'm happy to do that too.

Want to see if we'd work well together?

Tell me what you're trying to build. Most replies go out the same day.
